The popular Collins Read On series is back with new titles for 2014 now progressing to Level 4, featuring leading children’s authors Cathy MacPhail, Alan Gibbons and Barry Hutchinson. Collins Read On is a Key Stage 3 resource designed to help your students succeed at reading with real books at the right level. Clear line-spacing supports dyslexic readers, while visual learners and unconfident readers are encouraged by vivid illustrations and an accessible text-to-image ratio. ‘Reader challenges’ and discussion topics provide a great tool for shared reading and debate in the classroom. Across all levels we’ve chosen diverse and exciting titles to delight demotivated readers, from real-life adventure with spies and fast cars to gory horror stories with a bite, so there’s something for everyone. We’ve made Collins Read On as appealing to boys as possible, by selecting good reading titles which engage their interests. Comprehensive support for teachers is provided with step-by step session plans, assessments and progress checks for each title, tracked against APP criteria.
