teachwire.net/secondary As teachers, we’re all looking to be more efficient and time-wise . Microsoft Teams helps me connect with my students and spend more time with them, but also extend the learning process beyond the classroom. It provides my students with a collaborative learning environment that they’re eager to engage with. Although the Teams platform is fairly new, it’s included in the Microsoft Office 365 for Education package that many schools will be familiar with. That of course means you also get access toWord, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as the applications SharePoint, Flow and Stream, making Teams part of an all-inclusive learning tool. The 4 C’s of education is a bit of a buzzphrase . Nevertheless, collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking are all essential skills, and Teams helps me deliver them in a fun and creative way. I can use Teams to react to students in real time and in a more informal way, and introduce elements from OneNote or even video into our conversations. I’ve realised that Teams can also be a powerful leaning tool for myself . I’ll often use Teams to communicate and collaborate with other teachers, including some based at different schools or even in different countries.Working with other teachers in this way has helped me discover new approaches to teaching and develop new ideas on how to reach and engage with my students.
