London’s Royal Courts of Justice houses the High Court and Court of Appeal. The National Centre for Citizenship and the Law use the court rooms there for engaging education sessions.

An RCJ visit is an inspiring way to build aspirations, develop problem solving and critical thinking skills and develop knowledge in: Citizenship, PSHE, Psychology, Sociology Enrichment, Law and Careers.

Court in Session is a two-hour experience in which students will: be introduced to the RCJ and what happens there, prepare and enact a trial based on a real case, explore roles in a court room, meet a legal professional (where possible), discuss and debate real sentencing options, and discover key spaces in the RCJ.
