FUTURE CLASSROOM COMES TO NEWCASTLE

An event on mobile technology in the classroom is to be held at Newcastle’s Literary and Philosophical Society on 29 April. This is part of a national campaign by the Tablet Academy in partnership with Microsoft to ensure that current and future generations of schoolchildren benefit fully from the technology that is all around them.

Professor Steve Molyneux has advised governments, universities and technology companies worldwide on education. His latest organisation, the Tablet Academy, was set up to help not just IT teachers, but all teachers, parents and policymakers to untap the vast potential of the mobile devices that our children have grown up with.

The 29 April “Microsoft Showcase Classroom Roadshow” event aims to demonstrate how mobile devices and apps can easily be used to create hands-on, immersive, transformative learning activities that will ensure that the North East’s children receive the best opportunities in today’s connected world.

Attendance at the Tablet Academy’s Microsoft Showcase Classroom event, including a free Windows 8 Pro Tablet, costs £105 +VAT per person. To secure a place, visit www.tablet-academy.com/win8edutour
