Online GCSE Maths Festival 24-25 March

  • Online GCSE Maths Festival 24-25 March

Collins is hosting an online GCSE Maths Festival – the first of its kind – on 24th and 25th March to celebrate the launch of its new book series for the new curriculum.

You can attend a webinar about the upcoming changes; join a Twitter chat to discuss GCSE Maths with other teachers; get burning questions answered in a maths amnesty; and read a new blog post every day!

Find the full line-up below and visit http://www.collins.co.uk/page/mathsfest15 to sign up (it’s free)!

Tweet Collins @FreedomtoTeach throughout the festival using #MathsFest15.

DAY 1 (24th March)

11:45am: The festival kicks off with a blog post on problem solving, suggesting ways to help students think differently and how they can learn to evaluate their answers critically.

4-4:30pm: Maths Amnesty! In the build up to the festival, submit your burning questions about maths, and at 4pm our expert will answer them!

7:30-8pm: Join us for a Twitter chat using #MathsFest2015.

DAY 2 (25th March)

12:15pm: Blog post released with all the answers to yesterday’s Maths Amnesty, in case you missed the live video.

4-4:30pm: Live webinar hosted by our maths expert, to discuss what the new curriculum means for teachers and the challenges they will face.
