Tablet training for teachers

Tablet Academy is running Road Show workshops around the country where teachers learn how to tablets in their classrooms. Participants are issued with an 8” Windows 8.1 Pro tablet they will use during the event and is then theirs to keep and use back in the classroom - an effective way to use what has been learnt immediately.

Trainers demonstrate how teachers can use the new free Microsoft Office 365 online software in the classroom for communication, collaboration and marking.

The 365 package includes Yammer (protected social networking and microblogging), OneNote (Digital notebooks), OneDrive (unlimited Cloud storage) and Skype for business and education. Other applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

The cost is £105 to attend the Tablet Academy regional roadshows but teachers take away a Windows tablet of choice worth £170:

  • 22nd June The Great Hospital, Norwich,
  • 24th June, Microsoft Centre, Reading
  • 8th July, Blackpool Zoo.
